cliff, where can i get the 3.2 driver? haupauge tech support can't help me, although they say a qam driver is in development for the hvr-1600. do you have a copy of the older drivers? did they not work at all with qam? is your tv or other tuner receiving unencrypted qam? thanks a lot.

The HVR-1600 appears at CompUSA in two flavors:
One with driver version 1.62.24326.0 (the Pink colored CD v3.2A) that installs as NTSC/ATSC/QAM; and the other with driver version 1.62.25002.0 (the Yellow CD v3.3B) that installs as only NTSC/ATSC. The latter package also includes an S-video to Composite adapter thus accommodating Composite. My cable service has QAM but the 1600 doesn't appear to demod the QAM even with the QAM driver version installed. I suspicion a harware design SNAFU that intended QAM but failed to work, so down spec the card and sell as NTSC/ATSC only. Great card anyway!! Am running 4 of them.
