The latter package also includes an S-video to Composite adapter thus accommodating Composite. My cable service has QAM but the 1600 doesn't appear to demod the QAM even with the QAM driver version installed. I suspicion a harware design SNAFU that intended QAM but failed to work, so down spec the card and sell as NTSC/ATSC only. Great card anyway!! Am running 4 of them.
