Get on the cutting edge by beta testing Beyond TV

November 8th, 2006 at 10:53 am by zack

If you’ve ever wanted to see what’s coming soon in Beyond TV and have a chance to voice your opinion before it’s released, now is your chance.

The Beyond TV beta program is currently accepting new registrations for beta testers.

What’s in it for you? Glad you asked!
1. Downloads of pre-release versions of Beyond TV that have new and cutting edge features.
2. A voice in what happens with new features. The beta program accepts “feature requests” that are seen by the beta and development team.
3. A chance to go on a bug hunt with your fellow enthusiasts, looking for problems in the software before it becomes public.

Right now, we’re currently in the process of testing Beyond TV 4.5 with some very cool new features in it (can’t say what they are to the public ;) ).

If you’re interested in signing up, visit beta.snapstream.com and fill out the registration form. It will give you instant access the newest betas.

Columbus Beta Testers ONLY! If you’re a Columbus tester and would also like to join the Beyond TV beta, email betasignup at snapstream dot com with the username of your account

I’d like to Beta Test the new versions. I use both BTV and BTVLink.

I’d also like to see a couple of features implemented in newer version.

    1. Channel Filters for the guide. Usually I record from only a selected few channels. I never record from the plethora of home shopping networks and news networks.
    2. The ability to trim recorded shows. I pad the recordings three or four minutes at each end, it’d be nice to trim off the fat so the next time I view it, it starts right at the program. Would save a littel space too.

    Hello,

I’ll be forced to try out Vista Home Premium if we don’t get ATSC and NTSC captions guaranteed in a future release.

    hi guys,

I’ll be very glad if you can avoid the memory leek that we have because of windows xp pro x64bits edition….
look what Robert Hartford write me back for the occasion *TECH SUPPORT*

    Hello,

Please note that we do not officially support the x64 versions of windows at the current time as a result you may get unpredictable results when running beyondtv on xp64, 2003×64, and vista64

Additionally a few anti-virus / anti-spyware programs have been found to interact with the network service / webadmin and cause a memory leak such as this, does this system have any type of anti-virus, anti-spyware, firewall, installed and if so what brand / version
