That's a good one Don.

When XP came out, I stayed true to 98 for gaming purposes and NT/2000 for server work. I did not make the move to XP until I saw that they stabilized the video processing component and fixed a large amount of the bugs.

The same is going to hold true here. They are going to be introducing a new filesystem (though if it makes it WITH the release of Longhorn, who knows) and I for one will not be on the bleeding edge to trust my data to an unproven filesystem. Let some other company work out the bugs.

Right now, I love lots of things in Windows, but the moment there are comparable integrated platforms to challenge it (i.e. the Mac OS, Linux, UNIX desktop platforms), I may make a permanent switch. My work interaction with others forces me to use Gates and company' it is most certainly not by choice anymore.

And that's a shame.

I know you love Windows and everything, but would you consider a Linux version of BTV Link? I'll bet you'd have lots of takes from those of us who have a few spare, cheap boxes around
